First Framed Mandalas

hi guyz! i just want to share my very first mandalas to be framed. this is for my sister's new house in the philippines.

i really don't like the color pens which i used for this actually, it's cheap so what would i expect?! lol

i'm not feeling well during i made this green one i slept late for this.

i thought the green one is not that really eye-catchy but im so amazed until i framed both of it.

it turns out that the green one is much prettier than the other. i received comments on facebook for the green one. well, this two are quite rush but im so happy that i still managed to finish it two weeks before their flight going philippines.

Biggest Mandala So Far

and its done, after 3 weeks of wip now its done! but the prob is it's much bigger than the frame my sister prepared for so i have to make again a smaller one than this for 2 frames. urgh...

even if t'was too much big my sister still wants it, she said she will buy big frame for this.

paper size: A3
mandala size: 11.5 inches
colors: poster markers by airline, paint markers by pentel, permanent markers by staedtler & pentel

can't wait to see it hanged in the wall of my sister's new house in the philippines. i told her to take pictures when it's hang on the wall to post in my instagram. (lol)

black, gold and silver

my first attempt of mandala in black paper... i love it! even if my designs are so simple still it turned out to be simply pretty. maybe because it's black and silver and...gold! lol! i can make this as a gift or postcard for a friend right?! or for a wall...?! i definitely make lots of these..sure do..also the big ones! (harhar)

World Map Mandala

one of my favorites, this was inspired by an instagramer i used to follow. i found it really cool that's why i made one too. i remember she only made 6 continents, i don't know maybe she forgot to include antarctica continent...but i believe it should be 7 continents right?! lol.
when i posted it in my personal instagram account my friend commented on it saying "i saw philippines!" ofcourse maybe i'll forget one continent but never the country philippines even if it's very tiny. lol. hope you like it!

Boredom strikes again... drawing ain't clear though...make a better video next time with colors.

It's Saturday and I'm leisurely sipping my acrid green tea in this tedious office job. (Urgh!) Oh well since the bosses are not here, got a shot to download some girly iphone games.

I browsed and I downloaded this cutie patootie game called Line Play now I'm hooked. It's just a simple game where you buy furniture and clothes for your character, visit homes, give them hearts and help them clean and stuff. Nothing complicated like The Sims, but you get to chat one-on-one with your Play friends and there's a Lounge where you can group chat with users from all over the world. Cool, huh?! Since I'm new, my place is not yet that mecha kawaii  like other players do (below screenshot) but I'll sure do later once I know all the strategy. (LOL)

I want to share my recent games I've been hooked too called Bakery Story, it's like running your own bakery. Design it, do some quests, make some money and invite friends too to send you some gifts and helps. I'm playing it for like 2 months now so I guess my hardwork pays off. (below screenshot)

And lastly, there's a game I absolutely love to hate, but keep playing anyway. It's called Fashion Story. Like Bakery Story, you're running your own fashion shop, make some money and invite friends too. What bothers me is that it appears free but once you've been hooked, you realize that you need to spend real money to have fun and believe me or not I does. (which I regretted, LOL) Still, my store doesn't look that fab. (below screenshot, afufu!)

Any girly games you can recommend is highly appreciated... (wink)
Nothing to write here, but I vid myself again last night...kinda enjoying it now so please bare with me... (wink)

Since hubby went out for some basketball game with friends and we don't have net, I'm so bored that's why I do this weird crap. This is my ever first video doodling Mandala. More to come. (wink)

What is Mandala?!
According to Google, Mandala is a circular figure representing the universe, sun/moon, eyes/mouth, human spirit, inner nature, feminism, eternal, unity and the mind through symmetrical images within a circle.

How to create one?!

Tools to be prepared:
1. Mechanical Pencil/Ordinary Pencil
2. Protractor
3. Engineering Compass
4. Ruler
5. Eraser
6. Clean Paper
7. Pens (Colored/Black) – for final design

In a regular size paper, (I used A4 sized conqueror paper as this is the standard paper we’re using here in UAE) find the center of the paper, mark it using pencil. Without measuring the radius draw the biggest circle you can using engineering compass from the marked center to the sides of the paper (this will serve as your Mandala size). Once your perfect circle is done, divide your circle into how many pies you want using protractor and ruler. (I used 10° angled pie to make the design much smaller but detailed) Make sure that you are using pencil in drawing your pies (so that you can erase that later) as these will only serve as your guidelines in making your designs. After that, you are ready to make the designs, you can make lots of designs you want by creating circles inside of your mandala for reference. I suggest you should start designing it from the center until you reach the circumference of your Mandala. It took one to two hours for me to finish one in an A4 sized paper.

Now that you know the basic, you can now draw Mandalas in any shapes you want depending on your own creativity. Some experts drawn or doodled Mandalas in freehand but for me I’m used to these tools as I want to minimize imperfections and uneven in my designs.

Why Mandala?!

Oblivion. The idea of creating it came to me just like that and let’s just say I’m an Engineer and I studied shapes a lot, symmetry, perfection, and endlessness, this kind of art enthusiasts my unhoned artistry skills in such a way of propelling myself to create something which closest to perfection. It was like combining Engineering and Art in one. It can also attributes to what life for me has become, as wherever I go whatever I do I’m always leading back to where I’ve been.
